because the unsleeping city was my first d20 season and i had a little mental block around watching actual play shows i feel like i wasn't really In It like i wasnt fully sold or invested until the isabella infierno combat at priya's art show just because like. the sheer horror of the situation finally got me. we live in a world where your trust fund ex could conceivably invite you to her shitty fucking williamsburg performance art piece only to find out that it was an ambush meant to get you to publicly perform your dying relationship in a blatant rip off of something marina abramović already did. that's so fucked up and scary AND it could happen to you in real life. maybe not the part with all the demons showing up. but that could fr happen to me and i don't even have the ki points to do smth about it
#i feel bad for it but i straight up dgaf'd about pete until that happened to him and my whole body opened up in like a flood of compassion#mad as fuck that the only south asian character in s1 not only was my worst nightmare but also had the coolest fucking name ive ever heard#d20#and yeah maybe the last person i was seeing lived there who said that. god i hate williamsburg#i still can't get over it im still not over it. begging him to come to your art show and then literally ripping off a very well known artis#WITHOUT TELLING HIM he's meant to monologue about their relationship in front of her shitty friends!!! its fr so hurtful#the unsleeping city#and he still made a point to save her when the fighting started which is human instinct and the correct way to roleplay in dnd but man#not sure if i wouldve stuck my neck out for that specific npc#oh i also like that combat bc sofie gets to kill. but what else is new.
